Main duties of the job
1. Maintain highest level of confidentiality and comply with data protection standards when handing patient related and other confidential/sensitive data
2. As a paperless office, there is the utmost importance to scan all correspondence onto electronic patients medical record, using the System One database and to ensure that clinical coded entries are entered appropriately and accurately
3. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including opening of the post, clinical coding, scanning and filing
4. Facilitate effective communication between all staff members, patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated parties

Job responsibilities
To provide admin support at Lakeside Surgery Sheepmarket Stamford to help ensure that adequate cover is provided within the admin team in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Job Responsibilities:
Administration
5. To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
6. To work in accordance with written protocols
7. Time management and prioritising workload
8. Creation of referral letters, general letters to patients and hospitals and medical reports
9. Liaison with Hospitals, ICB and service providers.
10. Booking referral appointments, checking workflow on e-referral system and attaching referral letters electronically
11. Liaising with patients via telephone
12. Franking out going post and actioning any other tasks as may be appropriate or requested by line manager.
Additional Tasks:
13. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Team lead/ Management team, dependant on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels
