English Lecturer (GCSE and Functional Skills) Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (36 or 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) Location: West London Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum including London Weighting We are seeking to appoint dedicated Lecturers to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our cross-College provision. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and is primarily focused on supporting vocational learners aged 16-18, alongside a growing number of part-time adult learners. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to vocational learners and adult learners, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards. Play a crucial role in supporting learners' development, helping them progress to higher courses or enter the workplace. Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share and implement best practices aimed at engaging and motivating resit learners. Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback. Required Skills & Qualifications: A degree in English or a related subject is preferable. Experience in teaching or tutoring English GCSE and/or Functional Skills. Strong ability to engage and enthuse learners aged 16 to 18 from various vocational backgrounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
