Homeless Outreach Officer (Domestic Abuse) 37 hours per week £27,711 - £30,060 per annum One-year Fixed Term Contract This role is a primary point of contact for homeless customers with additional needs, including rough sleepers, substance misusers and customers with mental health need by assisting in implementing the council’s duties, responsibilities, and policies within the Housing Service. This role also provides intensive support to customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness and those with complex needs, alongside other partners to identify preventative measures to avoid homelessness or seek routes into accommodation. Another key element is partnership working with multiple agencies to support vulnerable households to achieve the correct package of support. About you The successful candidate will: Will be customer focused and dedicated to providing an excellent front facing service Have previous experience of working in a housing or customer service environment Be a team player who can work well with others and is able to innovate / act on own initiative whilst being responsive to the needs of others Have good I.T. skills To be able to prioritise a varied workload To be able to deal with difficult situations in a calm and caring manner’ Be able to support customers access services who display challenging behaviour and are experiencing difficult circumstances.
