My client became Ce-Map qualified in 2007 and set up her own business which enables her to bring knowledge, experience & compassion to customers directly. The business has a simple goal which cuts out complexity and makes things simple when buying property. In addition to providing Mortgage advice, the business offers Protection and Insurance advice. The business has built an enviable reputation and takes significant pride in this.
With fabulous offices right in the centre of Whitley Bay and continued growth in business, the time has come to grow the existing team and as a result are looking to appoint an experienced Mortgage Administration professional or Para Planner to join the current Team.
We are looking for someone initially part time, ideally 3 days per week, but flexible with this to suit work/life balance. The role would suit someone who needs to work around family commitments or looking to reduce from a full-time working week. Ideal days would include Wed-Fri but there is flexibility to discuss.
The successful candidate will share my client's passion for the sector and understand how important your role plays in supporting customers navigate often the most important life purchase journey successfully.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Build excellent relationships with Customers, Advisors and Colleagues within the wider network.
2. Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face to face.
3. Support Mortgage Advisors process customer applications through the end-to-end mortgage application process which will include:
1. Conducting research & insights to support customer enquiries and applications.
2. Check documentation for new applications to ensure complete and meets FCA requirements.
3. Chase missing documentation from customers.
4. Create workflows and tasks for each application on the system ensuring accurate and meets timeframes.
5. Liaise with lenders to progress applications through to mortgage offer and completion (uploading supporting documentation to lender portals, and chasing for updates within timeframes).
6. Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their applications and be the first port of call for any queries.
7. Liaise with estate agents (internal and external), conveyancers and other 3rd parties to ensure a smooth and efficient journey for our customers.
8. General office duties such as filing, post, general correspondence etc.
Skills & experience required:
1. Level 2 or above CeMAP qualification is required, candidates with equivalent career-based experience may be considered.
2. Highly customer centric individual with a passion to deliver the highest level of service.
3. Good level of understanding of mortgage lending regulation and mortgage market.
4. Desire to continue career development and pursue additional professional qualifications.
5. Excellent levels of numeracy and literacy essential.
6. A sound working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook coupled with the aptitude to learn various lender systems.
7. Excellent communication, relationship, and negotiation skills.
8. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Problem solving and solutions focused outlook, taking ownership for positive customer outcomes.
10. Acts with care, diligence, and high ethical standards at all times.
11. Organised individual with the ability to prioritise tasks & meet deadlines.
