Here is your opportunity Your Role As Senior Active Travel Network Officer, you will shape the future of active travel in Greater Manchester. You ll be playing a leading role in ensuring that our current infrastructure programmes are delivered to GM s exacting design standards. You ll lead work with local authorities to develop future plans for the active travel network and ensure that we deliver the commitment of the Greater Manchester Active Travel Commissioner, Dame Sarah Storey, to an active travel network which connects all communities in Greater Manchester, by 2040. Reporting to, and working closely with, the Active Travel Network Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring design quality in active travel schemes in Greater Manchester as a member of TfGM s Design Review Panel (DRP). You ll take a crucial role in developing future plans for active travel infrastructure in partnership with Greater Manchester district highway authorities and other partner organisations. This work will also feed into major funding bids, to secure additional resources for future active travel schemes. For more information, please see the role profile at the bottom of the advert. Who are we? TfGM is the local government body responsible for transport in Greater Manchester. We re all about keeping Greater Manchester moving and growing. We co-ordinate a c 250m programme of active travel infrastructure delivery across Greater Manchester, and we are now delivering active travel infrastructure at around 100 times the rate we were 5 years ago. In addition you will have the ability to provide technical advice on active travel infrastructure to design teams and compile clear and concise technical and non-technical reports for a range audiences. Experience in the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) would also be valuable. What we can offer you A perm term role with a salary of 46,249 - 51,576 per annum depending on skills and experience.
