AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are currently recruiting a Line Maintenance Tooling Supervisor to join our highly skilled expanding Tooling team.
With a fleet that continues to grow with the introduction of the Boeing 737-7/8/9 (CFM Leap-1B), the successful Line Maintenance Tooling Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of logistics and overall control of tooling throughout the Line Maintenance network.
The successful Line Maintenance Tooling Supervisor will report into the Tooling Manager, ensuring the tooling stock requirements and levels within all Line Maintenance bases are fulfilled. They will provide training and support to the Stansted based Tooling Coordinators, along with the Regional Coordinators. Working closely with the Line Maintenance department, the Line Maintenance Tooling Supervisor will oversee and ensure tooling is serviceable, calibrated, and ready to be used by all engineering teams and manage the movement of tooling within the network to guarantee a well-organised and efficient operation.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Deputise for the Tooling Manager during periods of absence or duty travel
2. Assist with the RCA & Closure of Tooling audit findings & ESR's
3. Staff management of Line Maintenance Tooling personnel
4. Possess the ability to work under their own initiative - taking on network-wide projects to upgrade existing tooling, and to review current stock holdings
5. Influence purchasing decisions for new tooling where shortages are identified
6. Hold weekly 1-2-1’s with Regional Tooling Coordinators to ensure processes are being correctly followed, to provide any training/support & to distribute any department specific notifications or information
7. Attend daily planning and Tech update meetings as the Tooling representative
8. Effective communication with Tooling Coordinators, ensuring information is explained clearly and concisely and to ensure everyone is working to the required standard
9. Develop processes and procedures for the Tooling Department
Minimum Requirements
1. Previous experience working within an engineering tooling position
2. Experience managing inventory and logistics processes
3. Previous supervisor experience is beneficial
