BMW UK, Financial Services, Farnborough – Retailer Communications – 13 Months Placement (July 2025)
The Retail Performance team is responsible for having a strong understanding of retail operations, program management, and effective communication skills to drive improvement projects that will deliver performance and engagement within the retailer network.
In this role, not only will you support the team with larger projects, but you will be responsible for delivering a clear, concise, and compelling Retailer communications experience for the Group Brands Financial Services division. Working closely with key departments such as Sales, Marketing, New Business, and Customer Services, this varied role will enable you to explore all aspects of the company.

5. Provide support to the Area Managers and actively contribute to the Retailer Communications strategy between internal departments and the Retailer Network.
6. Assist with internal website content creation and improvement of the experience on the Retailer HUB, our Retailer communications portal.
7. Support the organisation of our Co-Lab networking event, which hosts both internal and external stakeholders, providing opportunities to build a diverse network.
8. Establish strong relationships with business areas to drive engagement with the Retailer HUB and increase Retailer interaction.
9. Assist in the creation of new communications and regular weekly updates to maximise engagement with the Retailer Network.
10. Maintain a focus on the Customer Journey through the Retailer network, ensuring it is optimised and compliant.
11. Ensure high-quality, efficient, and effective work, adhering to BMW Group policies and frameworks.
12. Ensure all supporting Internal Areas consistently display up-to-date materials, guides, and documents for the Retailer to navigate the HUB easily.
13. Participate in regular meetings with Area Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
14. Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree of 2:1 or above, in a relevant field such as (but not limited to): Communications, Public Relations, Business Studies or Marketing Communications.
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
16. Strong literacy skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
17. High attention to detail and accuracy.
18. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
19. An outgoing personality is key as you’ll be expected to interact and network with all areas of the business both within BMW Group Financial Services as well as our sales colleagues in BMW Group UK.
20. Independent and curious to learn more about the business.
