Resourcing Officer

Job Purpose: Are you ready to make a real impact? As a member of our Resourcing team, you\\\'ll play a crucial role in ensuring our train crew rosters and driver diagrams meet all business and customer requirements safely, reliably, and compliantly. Your work will keep our trains running smoothly and our customers happy!
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and Manage Rosters: Design, issue, and amend cost-effective live traincrew rosters, including accommodation and transport resources. Your rosters will be the backbone of our operations!
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure all rosters are safe, secure, reliable, and comply with Fatigue & Risk Management, customer expectations, commercial targets, national, railway, and nuclear regulations and standards, and Traincrew Terms & Conditions.
* Administrative Excellence: Carry out weekly administrative tasks related to traincrew hours with precision and efficiency.
* Adapt and Overcome: Manage rostering changes and reallocate work to traincrew in line with additional service requirements, cancellations, Short Term Plan (STP) paths, training, medical, and ad hoc demands.
* Budget and KPI Focus: Work within budgetary and KPI parameters to ensure optimal performance.
* Leave Management: Manage Traincrew annual leave in accordance with terms and conditions, ensuring everyone gets the rest they deserve.
* Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of link changes into base and weekly/daily rosters, and liaise with internal stakeholders to optimize departmental output.
* Timely Delivery: Ensure the weekly/daily rosters are issued at the agreed times, keeping everything on track.
* Cost Management: Focus on cost management when building the weekly roster, making every penny count.
* Team Collaboration: Maintain effective working relationships with Service Delivery Teams and Traincrew to ensure smooth creation and delivery of rosters.
* Training Plans: Work with internal stakeholders to deliver traincrew training plans, helping our team grow and excel.
* Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to business priorities and the future strategy and direction of the department, including the introduction of new technologies.
* Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to any meetings required by the role and ensure allocated actions are completed.
* Business Development: Provide Resourcing input as required to business development, commercial sales, and contract management activities.
* Compliance and Safety: Comply with relevant procedures, work instructions, and terms & conditions relevant to the role, and keep up to date with training and safety policies.
* Role Model: Embody the NTS cultural principles of Freedom, Helpfulness, and Drive, and champion equality, diversity, and inclusion within the Operations team.
General & Regulatory Responsibilities:
* Abide by the Official Secrets Act 1911 and 1989.
* Comply with all Company Rules, Standards, and Procedures required, including those relating to security, safety, and training.
* Comply with Section 7 Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Perform other duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to the individual’s skills, abilities, and grade.

* Operations Planning and Rail Division senior management.
* NTS counterparts – Resourcing and Control; Service Delivery; Engineering; Commercial; Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ); Security and Resilience (SAR); Information and Communication Technology (ICT); Finance; and Human Resources (HR).
* Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and NDA Group.
* Commercial Customers and Suppliers.
* Network Rail.
* UK Government organisations.
