We’re looking for a passionate Golf Community Manager to help us grow our presence, engage with our community, and collaborate with golf professionals to tell their stories.
Role Overview
As the Golf Community Manager, you’ll act as the voice of our customers and the bridge between our brand, community, and professional partners. You’ll play a key role in gathering feedback to inform product development, building relationships with golf enthusiasts and gift-givers, and sourcing compelling user-generated content (UGC) from customers and professionals. Collaborating closely with the founders and a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive community growth and create impactful connections.
This role offers complete flexibility in where and how you work. You can choose to work fully remotely, hybrid, or in-office at our Burwell, Cambridgeshire HQ—wherever you feel most productive. Additionally, after successfully passing probation, we offer company ownership via shares, making you a valued part of our future.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Engagement and Advocacy
• Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback from golfers and gift-buyers to share with the founders and shape new product ranges.
• Develop and implement initiatives to deepen customer relationships and encourage feedback, such as surveys, loyalty programs, or social campaigns.
• Build authentic connections with golfers and their loved ones to understand their passions, needs, and milestones.
2. Content Creation and UGC
• Source and curate user-generated content (UGC) from customers and professional golfers, showcasing Display Champ products and golf achievements.
• Leverage professional golf stories and milestones to create impactful advertising campaigns and long-form content for blogs or social media.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create shareable, engaging content that highlights our brand, products, and partnerships.
3. Partnerships and Professional Connections
• Work closely with golf professionals, influencers, and coaches to foster partnerships that boost brand awareness and credibility.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to identify opportunities with golf courses, schools, tourism agents, and organisations.
• Support sponsorships and activations at amateur and professional golf events, leveraging these opportunities for UGC and promotional content.
4. Community Building
• Build, engage, and nurture an online community of golfers, gift-givers, and enthusiasts across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Actively participate in forums, groups, and social conversations to increase brand visibility and authentically connect with audiences.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
5. Insights and Feedback
• Track and analyse customer feedback and social engagement metrics to refine strategies and inform marketing decisions.
• Stay informed about trends in golf and gifting to identify opportunities for innovation and impactful storytelling.
• Share insights regularly with the founders and product development team to ensure alignment with customer needs.
About You
1. Must-Haves
• Passion for Golf: You’ve played the sport and understand the excitement of achievements like a hole-in-one, longest drive, or personal best round.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: You’re empathetic and skilled at translating customer feedback into actionable insights for product and marketing teams.
• Community Management Experience: Proven ability to grow and engage online communities while fostering authentic connections.
• Strong Content Skills: Experience creating or curating user-generated and professional content for marketing and storytelling.
• Collaborative Approach: Able to align with the Business Development Manager and founders to ensure cohesive strategies without overlap.
• Proactive and Organised: Self-motivated, with strong time management skills to thrive in a flexible work environment.
• UK Time Zone Availability: While flexible, you’ll need to work during UK business hours to align with the core team.
2. Desirable
• Experience in the golf industry or working with lifestyle or gifting brands.
• Familiarity with influencer marketing or partnership development with sports organisations.
• Knowledge of tools like Canva, Photoshop, or video editing software.
• Ability to create and direct native iPhone-based content.
