Welcome to Leith Hill School
We are a co-educational specialist day school for pupils aged 7 to 16. Our aim is to inspire ambition, build resilience, and foster a love of learning. Pupils benefit from the support of a dedicated team of highly qualified teachers, therapists, and other professionals who collaborate closely to create personalised learning and therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs. In addition to academic achievement, including the attainment of national qualifications such as GCSEs and equivalent, we emphasise emotional wellbeing, resilience, and the development of social and independent living skills. With a school culture that prioritises pupil and staff wellbeing, we offer a supportive and inclusive environment where people work collaboratively. Benefits include pension, on-site car park and free lunch. A comprehensive CPD program is being developed.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the development, installation, support, maintenance and security of our ICT systems as we open our school in September 2025. As the on-site technician, you will manage network administration, maintenance and backups, provide helpdesk support to users, ensure printers and copiers are operational, manage the ICT inventory and monitor and manage internet use within the school. Additionally you will lead on data protection matters, advising on DPIAs, policies, DSARs and liaising with the ICO if required. Providing technical advice and assistance in the classroom to pupils and staff is a key part of this role.
You
With at least two years experience, ideally within education, you will have strong network administration, helpdesk support and practical IT skills. Previous experience in data protection would be an advantage. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential and you will share our passion for ensuring that each pupil is recognised as an individual and treated with respect.
In return, Leith Hill School offers an exciting and dynamic environment where staff members thrive as part of a supportive and innovative team. With a strong focus on professional practice and development, we provide opportunities for growth, collaboration, and creativity, ensuring that every member of staff feels valued and inspired. Our school fosters a fun and engaging atmosphere, encouraging new ideas and fresh approaches to teaching and learning. Whether you're looking to enhance your skills, work in a forward-thinking team, or make a real impact in a vibrant educational setting, Leith Hill School is the perfect place to develop your career.
