Join our Team as a Service Charge Accountant!
We are looking for two experienced Property/Service Charge Accountants to join our team on a fixed-term basis until 31st December 2025 to cover internal secondments.

In this role you will ensure accurate service charges are set in line with tenancies, leases, legislation, and group policies. Your expertise will help drive the efficient delivery of the Service Charges accounting process, helping budget holders achieve value for money. These roles also assist in providing financial and management accounting information for the Group and support Housing Operations in delivering financial accounting information to customers.

Some of the things we are looking for:
* Demonstrable experience in cost accounting and pricing in a large and complex organisation
* Experience of setting service charges estimates and charges and producing year end accounts for variable charge customers
* Fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT Level 4) or equivalent, with demonstrable experience in Service Charges, or part-qualified with relevant and clear in-depth service charges knowledge
* Experience of interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, appraising performance and understanding and managing risk and compliance matters
* Advanced Excel skills, good attention to detail with experience of handling and analysing large data sets
While this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to Group offices and other locations for meetings as required. In-person team meetings are held once a week, alternating between our offices at Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, and Central Park, Worcester.
