Riverview recruitment is delighted to be working with Royal Free London (RFL) Property Services to appoint a PMO Senior Project Manager (SPM) for their Service Transformation Team on a minimum 6-month contract based for a hospital in Northampton. This is an exciting time for the estates consultancy with an abundance of new works streams valued up to £400 million across their client base and the role is an integral part of the transformational change that is afoot. RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group. As a PMO SPM of a broad range of multi-skilled construction, capital, and estate transformation work you will lead on the change initiatives. Specifically, you will run the PMO team for a large £100m hospital redevelopment programme. You must have a strong understanding of establishing and maintaining programme governance within major projects. Ideally, you will have previously worked to set up a PMO to manage new work and ensure it is fit for purpose. You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be confident working alongside senior management in both an organisational and client facing environment. The individual will need to operationally lead programmes, understand the clients needs, to take charge of stakeholders responsibilities and to ensure there is accountability for the work being undertaken. You will be working closely with the Senior Responsible Officers and wider programme teams. Therefore, they will need to be well versed and experienced in PMO programme management and change methodology. You will be required to work across departments and all levels of the organisation as well as externally with clients, to inspire, design and lead these improvement programmes. As a strategic thinker and with a thorough understanding of estates you will be able to advise and guide the client to their organisation objective. The PMO Senior Project Manager will work in a matrix arrangement, enabling the delivery of a large programmes of work, smaller more targeted projects as well as providing support and challenge to internal improvement initiatives for RFLPS. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Programme Director and need to offer reassurance and guidance to Chief Executives in the actions afoot. Excellent communication and an ability to build strong working relationships through personal interactions at the Acute Hospital and building trust are imperative to this role. The SPM will have a high level of autonomy, self-drive, and will be able to manage multiple priorities. They should be educated to masters degree level or be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of relevant experience within a PMO environment where strategic & operational thinking are required. Previous NHS healthcare experience is important. This role would be ideal for a strong project leader looking to contribute to a legacy piece of work within a healthcare setting.
