We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our busy finance team to provide targeted strategic insights across the Manufacturing and B2B Services divisions based on analysis and business performance and other MI. The Senior Finance Business Partner is required to provide project support for new business initiatives including financial modelling, project appraisal and cost monitoring and would suit an experienced qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and who is ambitious and keen to progress. Working with the operational and sales teams as well as cost centre managers, the Senior Finance Business Partner will prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for submission to the Board. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Director of Commercial Finance and will act as their number 2 to deliver the required reporting to the Board and Shareholders. Main role and responsibilities: Improving business performance through the use of other business MI Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial results to business strategy Providing effective commercial procedures and/or initiating change to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered Build strong relationships with all Directors, senior managers and their teams, being able to influence in order to deliver financial results Take ownership of all external reporting requirements to industry bodies and the FCA Management of the annual budget cycle for these divisions as well as quarterly re-forecasts Work closely with the Financial control team to ensure accurate cash flow forecasting Management of a team of four management accountants and trainee accountants, performing all monthly 121 and six monthly performance reviews Other tasks including month end close procedures and financial control as necessary Provide support to other financial functions where necessary Key skills and experience we look for: Qualified accountant Strong analytical skills Commercial mind set Strong need to deliver tangible results Comfortable with working in a rapidly changing and challenging environment Willingness to use initiative and work without detailed instructions Ability to communicate at all levels and influence key decision makers Most of all we look for people who display and work around the core values of our business: Ambitious – to break ground to help our customers enjoy a better retirement.
