Job Title : Governess for 4 Neurodivergent Children We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and creative individual to assist a family with four neurodivergent children (three boys aged 13, 12, and 10, and a girl aged 5). Each child has their own unique personality, interests, and needs, making this an exciting and rewarding role for someone who is passionate and enjoys working with children. Main Purpose of the Job: To be a “helping hand” to these children who have their own unique needs, offering the necessary guidance and support to help them thrive. A special interest and passion for being a secure, long-term, and consistent source of support is of utmost importance. The candidate will receive training from the NDC Facilitation Academy and will receive personalised individual support from a registered counsellor for up to 6 weeks, working in collaboration with a wider multidisciplinary team. Home-schooling & Au Pair Support in the UK Includes: Assisting with implementing structure and routine at home in preparation for homeschooling. Assisting with breaking down tasks and chunking information, as well as implementing movement/sensory breaks throughout the day when needed. Facilitating academic learning in social, structured, and unstructured domains as needed. Offering support to develop executive functioning skills such as planning, organising, and problem-solving. Using fun, creative, multisensory methods to provide academic support tailored to each child's unique learning style when needed. Providing support to alleviate uncertainties and potential anxiety by pre-empting possible triggers. Creating and designing visual resources if needed. Assisting with homework, projects, and exam preparation. Preparing snacks and lunch for the children during breaks. Planning fun, educational outings aligned with learning objectives. Requirements UK Visa & Relocation: The candidate is required to have an existing UK/EU visa or clear route for ancestral UK/EU visa. The family will cover the cost of the flights to the UK and return flights home when the position ends if needed and the candidate doesn't live in the UK. The candidate will need to arrange their own accommodation in the UK and will not live with the family. General Requirements: Fluent in English – Essential. Fluent in Spanish – Desirable. Job-Related Experience: Previous experience in a tutoring/teaching role – Essential. Previous experience working with neurodivergent children – Essential. Previous au pair experience with neurodivergent children – Essential. Job-Related Knowledge: Familiarity and knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) – Essential.
