* Working within BEL Valves Industrial Paint Shop with exposure to the Blast Chamber and Industrial Paint Application bays, utilising industry leading equipment and PPE
* Working with overhead cranes to manoeuvre/manipulate component/assemblies
* Learning required masking, and coating repair techniques
* Learn to use the latest coating and profile measuring equipment
* Interpret and follow drawings/diagrams and coating specifications for required component or assembly
* Plan work activity, including resources, equipment and tooling
* Quality check and adjust components or assembly against required specification; for example testing and calibrating
* Identify and resolve problems with components or assembly; fault diagnosis
* Hand over completed components or assembly, this may include storage and commissioning
* Re-instate work area and equipment
* Contribute to continuous improvement in component production or assembly

Training
Training to be Provided:
* You will complete a 4 year apprenticeship specialising in an Industrial Paint Shop environment whilst also building up knowledge and skills within the Assembly and Test areas
* You will study with South Tyneside Marine School, completing a portfolio of evidence to prove their competence to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
* At the start of your apprenticeship, you’ll spend the first 15 weeks at South Tyneside Marine School
* You’ll then join the team at Bel Valves in Walker, where you’ll spend four days per week in the factory, while attending college one day per week
