In this role as Statutory Reporting Assistant Accountant, you will work directly with the Reporting & Compliance Lead and this role will cover a vast range of activities across the Northern European region. This will include a mixture of business-as-usual reporting as well as involvement in year-end audits & statutory reporting. As part of this role, the Statutory Reporting Assistant Accountant will: Complete regular statutory reporting returns across UK, Ireland & Nordics this would involve reconciliations & associated journals. (VAT, CIS, RCT). Support completion of statutory accounts across UK/Ireland/Nordics. It would involve ensuring preparation of accounting and reporting for assigned legal entities is completed in compliance with local GAAP/IFRS requirements. Interaction with external and internal stakeholders throughout audit cycle ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are kept on track. Preparation and submission of statistical returns or filing documents as required by local government authorities. Provide accurate statutory information to our stakeholders in a timely manner. Demonstrate a keen interest in process and system improvements by both suggesting and working to deliver improvements as part of our business system transformation projects. Our Ideal candidate will need to have: Part-Qualified (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or who can express relevant experience with a desire to progress their professional career. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous experience working in a similar role. Ability to effectively build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment. Intermediate level of excel knowledge. Well make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role. You will work 37.5 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
