This Senior Mechanical Engineer role will see you joining the Stockton office of this international practices net-zero energy team.
It's a superbly flexible role being open to part-time (three days a week plus) work, hybrid location with time spent working together online.
The net-zero Mechanical Engineer role will see you carrying out feasibility studies, detailed design, site surveys, design verification and even site-based secondments across a portfolio including hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and industrial decarbonisation.
You'll be playing a key role on diversifying the UK energy mix in power generation (from gas, biomass, hydro and nuclear), natural gas cavern storage, hydrogen (production & cavern storage), and industrial decarbonisation.
It is essential that you have experience of working in the above when applying for this post. You must also be Chartered (or near) as a Mechanical Engineer.
The skills that you will be using include:
* Pipe stress analysis.
* Equipment specification and engineering specification writing.
* Experience of attendance at site for surveys and operations.
* High temperature component life assessment.
* Fitness for service assessments.
* Pressure part design calculations.
* Plant layout design.
* Pipeline routing and design.
* Checking and providing assurance of deliverables.
All of the work will be to BS/EN standards including 13480, 12952, 13445 and ASME B31.x so it is essential that you are familiar with them and their requirements when applying.
The Stockton office works closely with their other offices and you will be paid anywhere from £50k of a lower level Senior Mechanical Engineer with salaries going from £70k plus a car at Principal Engineer level.
