Are you looking to move your career forward to focus on business development in the manufacturing and engineering sector?
We are working with a manufacturing company who are looking for someone with an inquisitive mindset, excellent communication skills and who enjoys chasing down opportunities.
Key Tasks:
* You will Identify and develop new business opportunities across international markets within a defined sector.
* Communicating with government authorities, design consultants, contractors, OEMs, and clients worldwide.
* Attend and exhibit at international trade shows, client visits, and trade missions (annually)
* Provide technical sales support, guiding clients from initial inquiry to final product selection.
* Manage the sales process from inquiry to quotation, ensuring accurate pricing and margin calculations in multiple currencies.
* Follow up on inquiries, pull together tenders, and generate new leads.
Skills / Experience:
* Previous relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing.
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to recognise when to sell versus when to focus on relationship building.
* Highly process-driven, ensuring smooth sales progression from concept to completion.
* Confident decision-making and ability to take initiative.
* The role requires some overseas travel: flexibility for travel when required.
