Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to partner with a client in the not-for-profit sector in their search for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created role has been designed to support and sustain their growth plans. Based in Edinburgh, the role offers a very flexible hybrid working policy. The Opportunity Our client operates across Edinburgh and is currently going through a period of commercialisation. They have developed a new strategy to increase turnover and enhance profitability. To support this growth plan, they have created this position. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Creating management information (MI) packs Leading on expenditure reviews Finance business partnering with operational staff, including: Budget reviews Reviewing, discussing, and making adjustments to forecasts Identifying and escalating concerns related to business performance Assisting managers in creating investment plans Reviewing asset lifecycles Preparing the annual budget Forecasting cash flow Managing direct reports Responsibility for VAT Background and Experience The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a management accountant role, with a solid understanding of MI packs and the budgeting and forecasting process. This position offers an opportunity to bring commercial acumen to support the organisation's commercialisation strategy.
