Job Details: Marketing Automation Strategy Manager

We are recruiting for a Marketing Automation Strategy Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis to drive its marketing channel efforts. This crucial role involves developing digital strategies, implementing advanced tools, and steering the team towards corporate goals. The candidate should excel in campaign analysis, digital production optimisation, and strategic leadership.
This role promises to influence customer engagement, teamwork, and brand loyalty with innovative, data-informed, and technical methods. It’s ideal for someone who is customer-focused, creatively and analytically skilled, and eager to make a substantial business difference.
The role is based in Norwich with an option of flexible hybrid working.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Campaign management: Overseeing the execution and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns across all channels.
2. Team leadership: Leading a small team of digital production specialists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure goals are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Digital strategy: Collaborating with marketing, commercial, and IT teams to develop and execute comprehensive digital customer experience strategies that align with business objectives.
4. Inbound marketing: Demand and lead generation, SEO optimisation, social media management, email marketing, analytics tracking, and continual optimisation to attract, engage, and convert prospects into customers.
5. User experience (UX) design: Work with UX/UI designers and web developers to enhance the digital customer journey and boost conversions.
6. Attribution modelling: Developing and implementing attribution models that accurately assign credit to various marketing channels and touchpoints along the customer journey.
7. Performance monitoring and reporting: Tracking key performance metrics, analysing data, and generating regular reports to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.
8. Quality assurance: Ensuring that all digital content meets quality standards and adheres to brand guidelines.
9. Best practice performance: Enhancing team efficiency with automation, strategy, testing, and analysis to drive best practices and A/B testing execution.
10. Process improvement: Continuously evaluating and refining operational processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness in delivering digital marketing production services.
11. Resource allocation: Allocating resources effectively, including budget, personnel, and technology tools, to maximize the impact of digital marketing efforts.
12. Communication: Acting as a primary point of contact for marketing campaign leads, understanding their needs, and providing updates on campaign performance.
13. Risk management: Identifying potential risks and challenges that may impact the success of digital marketing campaigns and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.
14. Compliance and legal adherence: Ensuring all digital marketing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy laws and standards.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
2. 5 years of digital marketing experience with a proven track record.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in developing and executing digital marketing strategies and campaigns across various industries.
4. Leadership skills to motivate a team and implement strategic digital marketing plans.
5. Marketing attribution modelling expertise to understand the impact of various marketing channels on customer behaviour and conversions.
6. Data analysis skills to predict customer behaviour across all stages of interaction and engagement.
7. Skilled in inbound marketing, adept at using diverse strategies and tools for customer attraction via content, social media, and lead nurturing.
8. SEO strategy expertise in pinpointing high-volume, low-competition keywords, underpinned by robust on-page content optimisation, technical SEO, and link-building.
9. Technical proficiency in using diverse tools like WordPress, Statamic, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, GA4, and PowerBI.
10. Experience in web traffic analysis, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimisation.
11. Understanding of visual design principles and responsive design.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on achieving measurable results and continuous improvement.
