Bouygues Energies & Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager/Head of HR to be based in our Bristol office in Bradley Stoke and the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. Bouygues Energies & Services have been awarded a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in working on this incredibly unique and technically challenging project. The Senior HR Manager/Head of HR will be a key member of a the management team. The role will combine hands-on operational excellence with a strategic impact, will ensure compliance with HR legislation and case law, implementing policies and initiatives that drive high staff engagement and development across the division. Working in a unionised environment, experience of NACEI legislation along with Blue Collar working legislation is essential. Knowledge TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) is highly desirable. The Senior HR Manager/Head of HR will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting employee transitions resulting for mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legislation regulations whilst working closely with key stakeholders to maintain employee engagement, minimise disruption and achieve successful transitions. Whilst Managing both site based employees as well as office based employees, knowledge of working with Migrant workers on sponsorship to the UK is essential. Whilst the candidate will work autonomously they will report into the Project Director and have dotted lines into the UK & France for HR support. This role has potential scope to grow a small HR team as the project grows. The Role Fully understands NAECI site agreements and is able to manage the workforce under such agreements Able to manage both White and Blue collar workforces Provide expert advice and leadership, to managers and employees regarding TUPE implications and processes Lead and manage any future TUPE processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice Develop and deliver effective communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged throughout transitions Support consultations processes, including working with employee representatives and trade unions Proactively support line managers with performance management of their team members, including development or robust performance improvement plans Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and employees on various HR matters e.g. equal opportunities, diversity, resourcing, recruitment, employee benefits, employee relations, absence management, disciplinary and grievance Ensure compliance with HR policies across the business Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote compliance and best practice Build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels to support HR initiatives and improvements Produce accurate reports and analyse people analytics, identify trends to enable the business to make data led decisions Help delivery an accurate and timely submission of payroll related information Implement and contribute to continual improvement and innovation ensuring the business is recognised for developing and delivering excellent people practices The Person: Essential Criteria Proven experience in HR Management with a strong focus on migrant workers and sponsorship duties In depth knowledge of TUPE legislation and its practical application Full understanding of NAECI site agreements Full understanding of Blue collar workforce and legislation Strong problem solving abilities and the capacity to manage complex projects Proven experience in both an operational and strategic HR role Effective application of employment policies and procedures Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability of build rapport and influence and negotiate at all levels Credible and comfortable in dealing with diverse stakeholders Be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable The ability to work autonomously with strong organisational and prioritisation skills Be a self-starter with experience of developing policies and procedures Excellent understanding of employment law to manage change the ER agenda creatively Experience of managing projects to successful conclusion Live close to HPC site or Bristol office, with no problem in travelling to both locations on a weekly basis Highly computer literate Have a current driving licence Desirable Criteria MCIPD/post graduate human resources qualification (or equivalent) Experience in Engineering/Construction or Nuclear environment Why Energies & Services The opportunity to work on ambitious and complex projects alongside industry leading experts The chance to work for a company with an exciting pipeline ahead of them (we are preferred bidder for the Sizewell C project as a result of the success of HPC) UK and worldwide opportunities and Volunteering opportunities Be Yourself At Bouygues Energies & Services, we are committed to delivering an inclusive environment where our people feel valued, respected, and supported.
