Job Role: Site Engineering Manager
Job Reward: £70k - £75k Target Plus £6,600 Car and Package 15% Bonus minimum
Up to: £100k package including Bonus potential
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Shropshire (ONSITE, not hybrid)

Reporting to the UK Group Head of Engineering, dotted line into the Site Supply Director, you will be the Site Engineering Excellence & Change Manager on a large site with multiple manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities – Site Engineering Manager
* Leading the engineering technical change agenda for the Site, including all maintenance activities to improve line performance using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles – TPM.
* Drive engineering performance improvements, lead projects, manage multi-million-pound budgets, and lead teams to strive for world-class engineering & Maintenance excellence.
* Responsible for setting the engineering strategy, leading engineering activities, and maximizing production through maintenance of site assets.
* Ensure engineering resources (people/headcount) and technical skill set are maximized.
* Own a multi-million engineering budget.
* Develop autonomous maintenance programmes – subject matter expert in maintenance.
* Support and lead organizational change programmes through continuous improvement and reengineering.
* Work with factory management to optimize and improve the productive capacity of the plant.
* Create, implement, and manage the engineering maintenance strategy.
* Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.
* Develop engineering skills through a structured people development programme.
* Integrate engineers and line operators into ‘one team’, maximizing the engineering structure through autonomous maintenance techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements – Site Engineering Manager
* Experience in delivering major cultural and leadership change with a flexible lean-oriented approach.
* Experience in leading technical frontline maintenance, services, and project teams.
* Track record of using advanced manufacturing techniques (e.g. WCM/TPM/Lean).
* HNC/HND within an engineering discipline minimum.
* Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing environment.
* A confident leader, decision maker, and influencer.
* Track record of delivering continuous improvement and engineering performance.
* Engineering leadership at a senior level in a manufacturing environment.
* Strategic influencer, leader, and decision-maker with the potential to develop into more senior roles in the UK functions.
