We are recruiting for an apprentice to work in the Assembly and Test area of our industrial site.
As part of the team in Industrial, you will be working on a variety of systems of both electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical nature. What will I do as an Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Apprentice at Moog Industrial Group?
Whilst working for Moog you will learn and develop engineering skills and knowledge through onsite work placements, whilst also studying for nationally recognised qualifications.
You will learn a range of skills including assembly of products, machining, and maintenance of equipment.
The first year of your Apprenticeship is full-time education at Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET), where you will learn and develop practical and theoretical engineering knowledge in a range of subjects.
In the remainder of the years in your Moog apprenticeship, you will join the business full time, but also attend GET on a day release basis and work towards the completion of your NVQ qualification.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will meet regularly with our apprentice team to assess ongoing performance.
Applicants must have:
* At least 5 GCSEs, including the minimum of a level 4 (C grade) in Math, and level 4 (C grade) or above in four other subjects including Science and English.
* Please ensure your CV is up to date with details of the qualifications you are currently studying towards, including full titles and levels. You can include predicted grades if you have not completed your studies yet.
* Relevant work experience done through school or college would be beneficial although is not essential.
* A genuine interest and enthusiasm to undertake a practical, hands-on role in a manufacturing engineering environment.
* You should be able to show us that you are a practical person and have worked on projects either at school or at home that demonstrate this.
Application and recruitment process:
1. Application: Apply online with a cover letter and CV.
2. Assessment: If you are selected, you will complete an assessment where your skills in areas such as Math and Mechanical aptitude will be assessed. This is an online assessment that you can complete at home, and you will be sent a link to the assessment. There is no preparation or revision required, and the assessment will take approximately 60 minutes.
3. Interview: If you are shortlisted following your online assessment, you will then be invited to attend an onsite interview in Tewkesbury, where you will have an interview and have the opportunity to meet some of the business you'd be working in.
In return Moog can offer you:
* A longstanding career within a culture of trust and innovation.
* 25 Days Annual Leave increasing by 1 at 5 years’ service with further increments for long service anniversaries.
* Benefits include Life Assurance, Company Pension Contribution beginning at 6%, Employee Share Option in addition to an extensive Flexible Benefits Programme.
