We are a 36 bed elective and emergency Urology Ward, we offer great development opportunities for you to flourish within this role, as well as career development. We have a strong team, who will support you to develop and gain excellent experience in delivering compassionate and safe care.
Key Responsibilities:
* File all patient information accurately in health records.
* Answer the telephone in a courteous and timely manner.
* Ensure accuracy in giving and receiving messages.
* Book patient transport.
* Make outpatient appointments.
* Chase investigations.
* Collect health records, patient results and pharmacy items.
* Deal with ward mail and other correspondence.
* Co-ordinate the ordering of NHSP staff at the discretion of Department Manager and Deputy.
* Perform other clerical duties such as photocopying and faxing.
* Assist with maintenance of stores and equipment with careful stock control.
* Greet patients with a welcoming and informative approach.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the team.
* Ensure all patients are treated in a kind and courteous manner.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
