We are looking for a Lead Developer who thrives on problem-solving and loves grappling with complexity. You should have excellent software development skills in C#, SQL, XSLT, Web API, MVC, and .NET Framework. Experience in designing and implementing services using WCF or other service-oriented technologies is required, along with familiarity with Visual Studio and Git. Strong Object-Oriented design skills (Design Patterns, SOLID) and experience in managing, leading, or coaching team members are essential. Additionally, you should have experience in providing technical guidance to other Developers and the wider team, as well as knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD). An understanding of business operations, experience in continuous integration and deployment, and the ability to operate independently within defined methodologies are also necessary. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with external stakeholders are crucial, along with good problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with .NET Core/.NET 5, Kubernetes, and Docker is advantageous but not essential.
As our Lead Developer, you will lead and line-manage a team of developers, ensuring high levels of engagement and empowering your team to deliver exceptional work. You will conduct one-on-one meetings, identify training needs, and manage professional progression. Collaborating closely with other Development Team Leads, you will drive performance and engagement throughout the development teams, coordinate training needs, and facilitate career pathing. You'll liaise with the Development Manager to address knowledge development areas for the team and assist with project allocation and resourcing. Participating in the development of the technical strategy in collaboration with key colleagues and ensuring that your team is aligned with this strategy will also be key responsibilities. You will provide technical and process guidance, work directly with customers to provide technical consultation, and assist Business Analysts in producing solution designs. Your involvement in solution and architectural design, as well as fostering collaboration and communication amongst team members, will contribute to the success of our projects.
