A bit about the job Our Food & Beverage Supervisors play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences to all our guests, particularly during conferences, meetings, and events. What we need from you Our Food & Beverage Supervisors are hardworking individuals who can work on their own initiative and are essential members of the Food & Beverage team. You’ll be responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in the smooth running of the establishment, with key responsibilities spanning restaurant service, conference and event coordination, staff supervision, and operational oversight. You’ll also be instrumental in the planning and execution of events, ensuring all food and beverage operations run smoothly and meet high standards. This role is ideal for someone with experience in customer-facing roles within the hospitality sector. You’ll bring a commitment to delivering core standards and ensuring our guests have a memorable experience every time. This position will include shifts working Saturday and/or Sunday. This list is not exhaustive: Ensure ordering, storage, and distribution of goods meet operational needs while adhering to hotel procurement policies. Supervise and support event and restaurant preparation, staff, and service delivery to maintain high service and hygiene standards. Coordinate the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring all food and beverage requirements meet the highest standards. Ensure compliance with statutory and hotel standards for food safety, hygiene, and licensing laws. Conduct regular stock-takes and ensure effective inventory control, minimising waste and controlling costs. Handle guest complaints and service recovery professionally, aligned with Marriott’s exceptional service standards. Ensure staff training on fire, health, and safety protocols, while maintaining security procedures and key control. Uphold Marriott’s brand standards, ensuring a courteous and professional environment at all times. Train, manage, and lead the F&B team to excel in their roles and deliver outstanding guest experiences. Act as Duty Manager when required, overseeing smooth hotel operations and resolving issues efficiently. Oversee daily cleaning schedules, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness meet both Marriott’s standards and statutory requirements. Ensure all guest charges are communicated to Reception and Accounts accurately, following financial and operational procedures. Utilise Micros for efficient point-of-sale operations and ensure accurate processing of financial transactions. Use systems and platforms provided to manage guest reservations, charges, and ensure smooth coordination between the front office and food and beverage teams.
