This post is central to ensuring nursing staff can access clinical support and core skills training, enabling delivery of high quality evidenced based care across the Trust and specifically supports Trust wide intervention for the recruitment and retention initiatives of the nursing workforce.
The post holder will develop and deliver high quality training programmes, in line with trust requirements. The post holder will use different data sources to identify incident trends, using the data to inform updates to the training programmes.
This post complements ward based/specific induction and education and will support and facilitate core practice-based education to all sectors of the nursing workforce by delivering ward and clinical training and assessing clinical competency of core skills, role modelling best practice and supporting learners e.g. manual handling in conjunction with ward staff either in classroom setting or clinical areas.
The post holder will support and facilitate across the corporate Practice development team and facilitate courses across the service, including OSCE, clinical skills and career development. There is an expectation that the post holder will also support our other Practice Development department programmes at peak times.
