Description Site Manager Permanent 30 hours per week 52 weeks a year Corpus Christi is a happy school in the heart of Portsmouth. Job/Person Summary We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and kind individual to join our fantastic team. The successful candidate will be a key part of our team, responsible for our Health and Safety systems, building maintenance, liaising with contractors, overseeing site security and cleaning, moving and handling of deliveries and objects, working at height and supporting the long term building plan. The role of our Site Manager is key to the smooth running of the school and we are looking for someone with a strong sense of pride in their work and who believes in doing a job to the best of their ability. We are looking for a Site Manager who will: Share the ethos and values of the school Be willing to build relationships with staff, our children, their parents and our neighbours Ensure the security of the school buildings and site, liaising with staff, parish, contractors and our wider school community as appropriate Oversee and be a point of contact for cleaning and all other contractors working on site Undertake checks and maintain records to meet the statutory health and safety requirements eg COSHH, Legionella, risk assessments, fire and intruder alarms etc Ensure cleaners and contractors working on site have been fully inducted so they can work safely and follow the school’s safeguarding procedures Undertake key-holder responsibilities, unlocking and locking the school each day and be prepared to attend out of hours emergency call outs Liaise with the Finance and Premise Manager about maintenance plans and issues, lettings and wider community use of of the site, working flexibly to meet the needs of the children and the school Take responsibility for stock control and ordering of key resources appropriate to areas of responsibility The post is full time: 52 weeks per year – 30 hours per week Grade E - FTE (£32,149.00) Actual pay £26,066.00 Application Procedures We welcome and encourage candidates to visit our school so you can get a sense of our school and happy children If you would like further information please look at our website https://www.corpuschristi.portsmouth.sch.uk/vacancies or contact the school office on 02392 661818.
