Marchant Holliday School, a specialist residential and day school in Templecombe, is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
About Us:
We provide a nurturing and structured environment for boys aged 5-13 with SEMH and additional learning needs. Our dedicated team works closely with students to build confidence, develop social skills, and support academic progress in a safe and engaging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEMH needs in a small class environment.
* Assist in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, tailored to individual learning needs.
* Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and emotional development.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
* Help create a structured, safe, and nurturing environment where students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs, SEN, or behavioural challenges.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
* Ability to work as part of a dedicated team to provide holistic support.
* Willingness to learn and take part in training and professional development.
* A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

This role is based in Templecombe. Working hours ae 08:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday, term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
