Vehicle Presentation Team (Cleaner) - Full Time
We have opportunities to join our Junction 24 Vehicle Presentation Team (VPT) as a Cleaner. The main scope of the role is to make sure the quality of cleanliness of the vehicle fleet is maintained by ensuring that all cleaning and associated work is completed within the specified period and meets the Company standards.
This will ensure we consistently deliver a great service every day, exceeding passenger expectations and ensuring the passengers receive a safe, reliable, and clean service.

Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Follow health & safety and security guidelines and procedures at all times.
* Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn in appropriate areas.
* Comply with the laws and Company regulations regarding the use of mobile phones, smoking in Company vehicles, etc., whilst on duty (refer to the employee handbook for further detail).
* Minimise wastage by ensuring the correct use and safe and secure storage of all materials and equipment.
* Report lost, defective, or inoperative equipment immediately to your Supervisor to avoid adversely affecting any cleaning schedule/programme.
* Work in a clean and tidy manner by ensuring debris is not left for others to clean up and that equipment is in a clean and proper state at the end of each shift and returned to the appropriate storage place.
* Follow appropriate COSHH guidelines when using cleaning materials and chemicals.
* Attend safety briefings and training as required, fully understanding emergency evacuation plans for health, safety, security, welfare, and environmental arrangements.
* Report all accidents/incidents using the Company’s reporting procedure.
* Adhere to all Somerset Passenger Solutions policies and procedures at all times.
* Undertake any reasonable request made by the Company.
* Pass the BPSS vetting and badging process as a requirement of this post.
* Be available to carry out duties at any location where requested.
* Proactively liaise with colleagues based at other locations.
* Undertake any additional duties at the request of your Supervisor that are deemed to be within your competency.
* Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
* Participate in training and development activities at the request of your Supervisor.
* Take care of your own safety and the safety of others at all times by complying with the Injury Prevention Principles and UK Bus Health & Safety Policy.
* Always represent the company in a professional manner.
* Ensure compliance with the requirements of the environmental management manual at depot level.
* Report incidents and complaints to the VPT Lead.
* Report immediately to the VPT Lead any leak, unauthorized or accidental discharge, or any other hazards to the environment.
Skills & Experience
* A flexible approach to working hours as we are a 24/7 business.
* Previous cleaning experience.
Please note: All employees must be willing to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and obtain a DBS certificate. This standard is designed to provide a level of assurance as to the honesty, integrity, and values of individuals who are required to work at a Nuclear Licensed Site, or who may have access to sensitive nuclear information.
Assessments for this role will take place in the new year.
