Your new role
As the Contracts Manager, you will be tasked with leading and motivating the contracts team. You will play a key role within the organisation helping to develop business strategies to position the company as a provider of choice.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for:
* Overall responsibilities for service delivery – ensuring client requirements are met through the development of the business strategy/plan and core processes.
* Building and maintaining key client relationships based on a partnership approach and promoting a client-focused culture throughout the commission.
* Delivering a variety of highways services such as reactive defect repairs including (FW, CW & Street Lighting).
* Managing cyclic gully cleansing, winter gritting, and road marking.
* Leading the delivery of minor structure repairs.
* Establishing clear lines of communication through the team, defining roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient use of resources.
About you
Alongside your proven leadership and strong people management skills, the Contracts Manager should be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience working on Highway Schemes.
* Broad knowledge of Borough Road Network Management.
* Business acumen – able to demonstrate significant improvements in efficiencies/costs in previous roles.
* Experience in consulting engineering, blue-collar contracting organisations, and negotiating with trade unions effectively where required.
* Development of an innovative business culture and delivery of successful business improvement initiatives.
* A professional approach and effective role model for the Company’s values and culture.
