Senior Support Worker - Reablement Service - South Staffordshire
*** This position requires flexibility to cover East and South Staffordshire area***
Areas covered include: Tamworth, Lichfield, Burntwood, Cannock, Penkridge, Codsall and surrounding. Your base office will be CANNOCK (WS11 0EJ)
At Nexxus Care, our Reablement Senior Support Workers support service users to regain their independence and learn new skills. Our team of senior support workers works alongside our occupational therapist team to help prevent hospital admissions and support clients to stay at home as long as possible.
The role of a Senior Support Worker requires flexibility to travel within the community in the east and south of Staffordshire. You will meet with new and existing service users to help deliver a person-centred plan, liaise with healthcare professionals, and support a dedicated support work team to deliver the best results.
About You
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to join the Reablement Service with Nexxus Care, a local authority-owned care provider within Staffordshire.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be a driver with full access to your own vehicle. A minimum of 1 year experience within this role is essential - we will provide training and support you need to fulfil your role.
Nexxus Care is recruiting a full-time Senior Support Worker (37.5 hrs) with shifts between 9 am and 5 pm, with flexibility to support within the service times of 7 am - 10 pm when required. This role will include weekend and bank holiday working. You will also be required to support with the on-call rota to support business needs out of office hours.
The desired candidate must:
1. Hold a level 3 diploma in health and social care or be willing to work towards qualification
2. Hold a full UK driving licence and have full access to own vehicle
3. Hold at least 1 year of supervisory experience
4. Be able to learn new technologies and computer software
5. Communicate effectively in all forms
6. Be comfortable driving in new areas and meeting new clients
7. Be organised and work to deadlines
