Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse to join the Oxfordshire sexual health team. We are looking for a Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse with experience in both GUM and contraception. However, we will consider a candidate who requires training - in this case, this post will be a Band 5 to 6 training post to allow you to gain the necessary experience in the specialty.
Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service is a large busy organisation offering comprehensive STI management and contraception to people attending our outpatient services in various locations across the county. Our main base is at Churchill Hospital in Oxford with additional clinics in Banbury, Didcot, Wantage, and Witney.
You will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency professional team, offering STI testing and contraceptive provision to clients of all ages and from a diverse range of communities and backgrounds.
To qualify for Band 6, you must be able to demonstrate a recognised qualification and recent experience in contraception and sexual health/GUM; however, we will consider a candidate that does not have one and requires further training.
Finally, in your supporting statement, please tell us why you would like to work in sexual health.
Main duties of the job

The post is full-time, although a job share would be considered. A flexible approach to work patterns is essential as late evenings and Saturday working will be required (this is usually around 1 in 4). The ability to commute to more than one place of work is essential, so a valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role due to dual site working.
