Criminal Solicitor - Duty Qualified

Summary of role
Handling a varied caseload of private and legal aid funded criminal defence cases
Representing clients from initial caution through to case conclusion
Dealing with ranging matters from police caution through to Magistrates / Crown Court
Main tasks and responsibilities
Manage a range of criminal cases, including traffic matters, serious violence, murder, sexual offences, fraud, and public order and dishonesty
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing commercially viable advice and support
Provide representation in court, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients
Work collaboratively with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services
To ensure confidentiality of the firm's and clients' documents and information, maintaining the highest standard of client care
Any other relevant tasks required to provide support and assistance to the team as required.
Personal skills and attributes
Qualified Criminal Solicitor with current practicing certificate - 2 years PQE+*
Duty Solicitor status
An exceptional grasp of criminal law and procedure.
Proficiency in organising tasks and adhering to deadlines.
Ability to offer quality counsel to clients.
A capacity to work efficiently while maintaining a flexible approach.
Professional and pleasant with the strong communication skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently
Self-motivated and proactive to identify problems and find solutions
Able to give and receive constructive feedback, working effectively as part of a team
