Atlas Workplace Services has an opportunity for an Post Room Operative to join our team in Farnborough. Working at our clients site the Post Room Operative will be supporting the on-site team to ensure that all post related services are efficiently delivered and effectively managed. This includes receipt, delivery, collection, dispatch and accurate auditing – receipt/dispatch of mail items. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Operations Handling, processing, delivering and dispatch to client’s Tenants from/to: - Appointed couriers. - Royal Mail. - Client Internal mail points. - Others as required. Ensuring adherence to site clearance and security procedures. To collate all incoming mail and distribute to Tenants / recipient. Ensure delivery and collection of post schedules are completed. Ensure all post is recorded and documented appropriately based on type, ensuring records are maintained. Collect all outgoing mail from agreed mail points and process prior to collection by courier. Ensure that high priority incoming and outgoing mail is processed in accordance with its priority. Mail marked urgent is to be delivered to the addressee without delay. Ensure sufficient levels of labels and post stamps are maintained to not disrupt service. Operate IT and other equipment as per instructions and training. Maintain awareness and actions to be taken in the event of a suspicious package in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures for ‘Screening Mail and Deliveries’. Observe all Client and company statutory fire and health and safety regulations. Promote a positive safety culture. Any other tasks that are deemed reasonable for the role. About You Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent Manual Handling Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role Experience of working within post rooms, mail services, reception or concierge services or client facing environments. Experience of working within a secure environment. Good customer service skills. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and document management. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
