This is an exciting opportunity for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a well-established legal firm with a strong reputation in the Midlands and beyond.
About the role:
We are looking for a Newly Qualified (NQ) solicitor to assist the team with complex Court of Protection health and welfare matters. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Capacity Code of Practice, and Court of Protection Rules.
You will be assisting the team in representing clients who are applying to the Court of Protection, as well as others who are a party to the proceedings and family members of those lacking capacity.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Excellent Organisation and Prioritisation Skills: Ability to work to tight court deadlines.
2. Legal Aid Experience: An understanding and previous dealing with Legal Aid matters would be highly advantageous for this position.
3. Teamwork and Initiative: Ability to work well within a close-knit team and also use your own initiative when required.
4. Personable and Empathetic Nature: Approachable, calm, and caring, with excellent client care and communication skills, which are essential in providing the best possible service to clients, especially in potentially distressing situations for family members.
