The Role of the Principal Engineer
The Principal Engineer will provide technical engineering support to deliver process plant and equipment projects and develop and maintain design engineering processes, procedures, and products. Duties include supporting the production of CAD detail drawings for project execution, sales and marketing, generating Bills of Materials, and managing engineering sub-contractors & consultancy resources to achieve project goals.

Our client, which is part of a larger group, is a leading manufacturer of high-quality process equipment for the aerospace and automotive sectors, and we carry out turnkey projects worldwide.
The Ideal Principal Engineer will have:
1. A knowledge of steel/plastic fabrication, AutoCAD 2D / AutoCAD Inventor 3D / Solid Works (or similar) design packages.
2. Experience in the manufacture & supply of capital and general engineering plant process, mechanical, conveyor industry equipment.
3. Flexibility, commitment, and conscientiousness to manage and mentor team members and work to deadlines to supply and deliver engineering equipment to EU/international/CE marked standards and to customer specifications/expectations.
Requirements of the Principal Engineer
1. Extensive experience in process engineering, special-purpose machinery, or similar manufacturing environment.
2. AutoCAD 2D and 3D design experience or similar.
3. Project Management experience.
4. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Keenness to learn and develop.
6. Ability to interpret technical specifications.
