We are seeking a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position.
The Role:
You will play a crucial role in supporting students' well-being and academic progress, working closely with teachers and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive and consistent behavior management support throughout the school day.
* Assist in creating a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Support teaching and learning activities, adapting your approach to meet individual student needs.
* Build strong and trusting relationships with students, fostering their emotional well-being and self-esteem.
* Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents/carers.
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Essential Qualities:
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, ideally in a primary setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with a firm but fair demeanor.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
* Awareness of the increasing prevalence of mental health challenges in young children and a commitment to supporting their well-being.
This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
