Demand Planner (Leading FMCG Manufacturer) Site-based Monday to Friday (Possible hybrid working post probation period) Up to £50,000 Pension, Life Insurance & 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Boston, Lincolnshire The opportunity: Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Boston, Lincolnshire, is seeking to recruit an experienced and commercially astute Demand Planner. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for managing site forecasts, analysing demand trends, and overseeing production schedules to support both new product launches and product discontinuations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to interpret customer forecasting data and drive the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process effectively. Developing close relationships with customers will be essential to gather accurate demand insights, ensuring forecasts align seamlessly with business objectives and market dynamics. What will my accountabilities be? You’ll work closely with customers to gain product-specific insights that inform demand projections and maintain a 52-week sales forecast, adjusting for promotional activity and customer input. Responsibilities include reporting on forecast accuracy, preparing data for the S&OP cycle, and collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance teams to develop precise, demand-driven forecasts. Additionally, you’ll coordinate with procurement to ensure timely inventory replenishment. A great candidate will have: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in forecasting ideally within an FMCG organization. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is essential. Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external teams. Communication: Confident in presenting to diverse audiences to foster insight and collaboration. Analytical Skills: Strong numerical, data visualization, and reporting capabilities. Initiative & Attitude: Positive, self-motivated approach to tasks, with an ability to work independently.
