About the Role We’re excited to be recruiting for a Senior Account Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our high-performing Sales team. This pivotal role will be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer experiences across our East and West regional hubs, driving both retention and new business growth. Working closely with the Head of Sales and supporting a small team of Account Managers, you’ll combine strategic insight with hands-on account management to increase the number of school trips we deliver each academic year. You’ll also have the chance to travel, visit schools, and represent Equity at parent evenings and overseas – helping to bring the magic of our trips to life. About the Skills, Knowledge, and Experience We’re After We’re looking for someone with: A strong background in sales and account management, ideally in the travel or education sector. Experience coaching or mentoring others, with a passion for helping team members grow. Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data, spot opportunities, and drive performance. Confidence in using CRM and reservations systems to manage workflows, sales activity, and customer records. A deep understanding of margin management and pricing within a travel context. Excellent knowledge of school travel products – both ski and tours. A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to deliver change and improve systems. Clear and adaptable communication skills with an ability to engage different audiences. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability prioritise in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders. A passion for travel, education, and customer experience. Work Arrangements This is a fixed-term maternity cover role, anticipated to last approximately 12 months. This position is full time (36.25 hours per week) and based in our central Brighton office, with the opportunity for hybrid working following the initial onboarding period. Senior Account Managers are expected to attend the office regularly for team collaboration, training, and to support team development – typically once a week and at least once per half term.
