Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
With the introduction of a new engineering manager, we are further expanding the Maintenance team at this pharmaceutical business. The role encompasses predominantly working at the Somercoates plant, the older facility, but also one week per month covering the new site in Chesterfield which opened in 2018. This gives you a variety of capital equipment to work on, a good mix of old and new. On the one hand, you will be challenged with older machinery to make upgrades, sourcing parts, and a polar opposite site with brand new automated PLC controlled machinery. There is significant investment and refurbishment planned for your main site, so some great projects to get involved in.
This is a 4 shift pattern, working Monday – Friday:
1. 6am – 2pm
2. 8am - 4pm
3. 2pm - 10pm
4. 10pm - 6am
You will need to be a confident engineer as working on the Nights shift you will be alone; therefore, an electrical qualification is essential. We are open to speaking to Multi-Skilled engineers with either bias.
Responsibilities:
* Performing Planning Preventative Maintenance tasks
* Adhering to all Health and Safety Guidelines
* Working to deadlines
* Able to assist with installation works
* Working well within a small engineering team
* Confident to work alone on breakdowns
Qualifications and Experience:
* Apprentice trained or Level 3 qualified
* Experience working within a manufacturing setting
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills
* PLC Experience would be advantageous but not essential
Package:
* Salary of £47,800 (combination of basic salary, call out allowance & shift pay)
* Monday - Friday 4 shift rotation
* Call out covering every 3-4 weekends
* Overtime rate at 1.5x
* Company production bonus c £1500 for the last couple of years (not guaranteed)
* 22 days holiday + Bank holidays, with the option to gain an additional 5 days with length of service
* Pension Employer contributions 5%
