About the role

Located within UCL’s, Information Services Division (ISD), and working in collaboration across other Portfolios and Faculties at UCL, the Agile Delivery Manager will work within the Faculty Operations Portfolio.
As the Agile Delivery Manager you will be responsible managing initiatives out of diverse product teams as Digital Development and Specialist Applications. These activities will follow the SAFe Agile Framework of Termly Increments (TI), where work is discussed, assigned to teams, and then scheduled into sprints. You will oversee the delivery of initiatives within Digital Development product team with an aim to modernise, digitise and automate day to day processes using tools to develop solutions such as Microsoft Power Platform and sharepoint.
You will oversee the developments within the product team by subject matter experts in the Specialist Applications ensuring our users have access to varied range of applications and any new specialist applications are effectively and appropriately delivered. You will be required to engage and manage the collaborations with our shared services such as Architecture, procurement, Information Security Group and Service Management teams to ensure developments and solutions delivered adhere to their frameworks.
You will be required to manage risks, dependencies and issues through facilitating the team to manage any problems and agree solutions that are then planned into sprints. You will be required to proactively manage the finances to ensure that financial actuals and forecasts are maintained and regularly reviewed and invoices for suppliers are receipted upon delivery, to manage and track the finance expenditures, ensuring a clear view of the overall budget and commitments are being managed and regularly reviewed with the product owner. You will be required to review the product team roadmap with the product owner at regular intervals.

About you
The successful candidate will have good communication, forward planning and risk management skills. With proven experience of managing stakeholder expectations across the organisation. Good stakeholder management skills are essential with the ability to proactively work across multiple teams across the organisation, ensuring that requirements are translated into narratives and designs, agreed forward plans that are transposed into Agile stories to support the delivery of the work during Termly Increments (TI), ensuring they are on time and within budget.
This role requires an ambitious person that wants to progress their career at UCL. You will be supported and mentored by subject matter experts and senior management, and will receive training in the SAFe Agile Framework in order to further your career at UCL.
