Overview
We are looking for a qualified electrical & mechanical engineer to join the team on our Britvic contract. You will be working with automated machinery in our pallet storage warehouse, used to store and retrieve finished products. The engineering team work together to ensure there are no equipment failures that would impact customer demands.
It is a 42.5 hour week contract averaged over 17 weeks with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2days and 2nights)
Salary - £50,000 to £56,000
How you will contribute?
1. Ensure all planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescale to a high standard.
2. Carry out repairs/maintenance tasks, with a first-time fix approach.
3. Ensure any spares are booked out of the correct asset.
4. Liaise with Operation/Shift Managers on a shift basis to ensure all PPM schedules and any outstanding tasks set out by the Engineering Manager are completed within agreed timescale.
5. Identify problematic faults, rectify and monitor performance on a continual basis via systems on site.
6. Ensure agreed SLA’s are met for the maintenance of equipment.
7. Ensure any Company Quality Health & safety objectives and statutory obligations are always adhered to.
8. To have an active input to the Engineering Safe System of Working procedures and Risk Assessments.
9. Able to work at heights of up to 35M, having to climb vertical ladders complete with safety harness.
10. Support with business project work and site facilities.
11. Must be flexible and be prepared to work shifts across 24hrs/7days.
What you will bring?
12. Qualified mechanical / electrical engineer
13. Qualified to ONC, BTEC, C&G level in preferably electrical and / or mechanical discipline 70/30 bias.
14. Fault finding PLC at I/O level and knowledge of ProfiBus and ASI Bus.
15. Must be innovative, flexible, analytical and a keen team player with the ability to build strong working relationships with other teams on site.
16. Able to demonstrate sufficient technical experience of ASRS Automated Warehousing Automation or similar roles would be advantageous.
