Advantage Truck Group (ATG) has a job opportunity for an Inventory Control Coordinator.
The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains accurate and optimal inventories by overseeing the entire inventory process; ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demands while minimizing costs associated with over and under stocking, all while maximizing efficiency and accuracy within the warehouse and supply chain.
This position is based in Shrewsbury, and supports ATG's eight dealerships across MA, NH and VT. Responsibilities will include travel to all locations on an as-needed basis.

* Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* Some Saturdays as needed (approximately 6-8 per year)

Requirements
Inventory Management
* Daily monitoring of Retail Inventory Management system for all network locations.
* Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, slow-moving items, and potential stockouts.
* Implementing strategies for managing obsolete and excess inventory.
* Tracking all returns to vendors (new/core) and ensuring credit is received.
* Creating and monitoring a cycle count schedule at each branch, working with Parts Managers to ensure full cycle counts every quarter.
* Assisting Branch Parts Managers in scheduling and performing physical inventories on an annual basis.
* Reconciling off-brand vendor stocking items to utilize as few vendors as possible and maintain consistency throughout the network.
* Developing and implementing inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Inventory Optimization
* Optimize inventory across all branches, targeting a 6.0 inventory turnover rate, a 90%+ fill rate, and minimizing obsolescence to under 5% of inventory value.
* Generating monthly excess returns and coordinating with Parts Managers for their return to vendors.
* Reconciling all return credit invoices.
* Identifying items for monthly scrap allowance and working with branch Parts Managers to dispose of and remove them from inventory.
* Maintaining Rimpro compliance of >94% for all Elite Support branches.
* Collaborate with sales and services departments to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels to support their success.
* Collaborate with branch parts managers to execute various warehouse improvement initiatives.
Core Management
* Monitoring dirty core levels at all locations, working with Parts Managers to ensure dirty cores are tracked and returned.
* Scheduling and completing core inventories on a semi-annual basis at all locations.
* Reconciling all dirty core credit invoices from vendors.
* Maintaining dirty core levels of less than 5% inventory value.
Purchasing
* Overseeing and auditing the parts ordering process, ensuring timely and accurate procurement.
* Collaborating with vendors to negotiate pricing and maintain optimal stock levels.
* Performing monthly reconciliation of interbranch transfers.
* Collaborating with Parts Managers on monthly reconciliation of outstanding vendor invoices.
Reporting and Analysis
* Generating regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other key metrics.
* Analyzing inventory performance and identifying areas for improvement.
* Providing recommendations to management on inventory control strategies and process enhancements.
Continuous Improvement
* Staying informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in inventory control.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in inventory control, preferably in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in inventory management systems (Rimpro) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds.
