We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Nursing team based across the acute medicine cluster, between City and Sandwell hospital, moving to MMUH in the autumn.
The role will be to provide support for the nurses in the care of patients while in the acute and recovering phase of their illness.
This involves, under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse, assessment of medical patients. Daily tasks include meeting the patients' personal care needs, assessing their observations, taking bloods, cannulation, performing ECGs, and any other health care directed tasks as needed.
You should have previous experience of working in a health care setting and be proactive and adaptable to change. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be committed to working as part of a team that provides excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be fully supported in becoming an integral member of the team, which will be robustly supported by our in-house professional development team.
