Plant Oxford is the birthplace and heart of MINI production. Manufactured to individual customer specifications, hundreds of MINIs leave the plant’s assembly lines each day, off to meet new owners in more than 110 countries around the world. Three UK plants have a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint and final assembly.
MINI Plant Oxford - IT Service Delivery (Plant Infrastructure) 13 Month Placement (July 2025)
Our IT Infrastructure department are responsible for the onsite infrastructure, covering the network, servers, telephone and all end devices (PCs, Printers, AV etc.). Throughout your placement you will be responsible for support, assistance and some end user training for our internal customers. You will have the opportunity to be involved in many exciting projects throughout the year. You will also participate in all areas of IT Infrastructure, as a learning experience.
What awaits you?
1. To be an active member of the infrastructure team.
2. Working with and supporting all members of the team.
3. Provide support and assistance to our internal customers.
4. Responsible for the IT Intranet pages.
5. knowledge in all areas of IT Infrastructure (Networking, Communications and Workplace (End Devices).
6. To assist with raising purchase orders and liaise/coordinate Suppliers as required.
Qualifications and Experience
7. The candidate should be studying an IT, Business or Engineering related degree working towards a 2:2 or higher.
8. The must have qualification in or demonstrated knowledge of project management and delivery.
9. Knowledge of Agile methodologies would be advantageous.
10. Previous exposure to a Manufacturing environment would be helpful.
11. A valid driving licence acceptable in the UK is an advantage.
