Graduate/Environmental Health Officer Post Graded 7/8
Grade 7 (Graduate): £31,586 to £36,124 per year; Grade 8 (Qualified): £36,124 to £40,476 per year.
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified graduate Environmental Health Officer or a fully qualified experienced Environmental Health Officer working within the busy and diverse area of Housing Standards Regulation and Enforcement. The role will enable you to make a positive difference to the lives of North Lincolnshire's residents by promoting prosperity and wellbeing, preventing harm and protecting the most vulnerable. Housing experience and knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work with sensitivity, self-confidence, assertiveness, tact and diplomacy to resolve problems effectively in potentially confrontational situations. The post also requires knowledge and application of relevant law, codes, policies and procedures governing investigations, evidence gathering and court procedures. An ability to attend court and give evidence will be an essential part of the role.
It is essential that applicants hold a full driving licence and are able to provide a car or other means of transport in order to undertake this role.
