Apprenticeship in Furniture Manufacturing
Each apprentice will take the occupational route that is best suited to the business they work in. Pathways available are:
Upholstery (Manufacturing sofas, chairs, bench seating and upholstered products).
Apprentices will attend college on a day-release basis in order to improve their knowledge of the furniture industry. Apprentices are required to create a portfolio of work-based evidence that is collected in the workplace to demonstrate their competency and skills.

Entry Requirements
Maths and English Grade 3 or above. Functional Skills Level 1 is also accepted.

Assessment
End Point Assessment: All apprentices are assessed at the end of their training period by completing an EPA. The EPA consists of a knowledge exam, practical observation of skills, and a professional discussion with the external assessor regarding their portfolio of evidence.
