Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and enhance their EHS programs. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, foster a culture of safety in the workplace, and implement strategies to minimise risks related to health, safety, and environmental impacts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS policies and procedures in accordance with UK legislation and company standards.
2. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and establish preventive measures.
3. Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
4. Manage and coordinate emergency response plans and procedures, including staff training on emergency preparedness.
5. Analyse accident and incident reports, identify patterns, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
6. Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
7. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all staff levels, promoting a strong culture of safety and awareness throughout the organisation.
8. Oversee the management of hazardous materials, including waste disposal and recycling programs.
9. Prepare and manage the EHS budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
