Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: £102-£111 per day
Reeson Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in SK15, Stalybridge. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and behavioural challenges. The school provides a structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils receive tailored support to help them thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
* Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant, assisting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and behavioural needs.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils engage with learning and develop social confidence.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and support pupils in regulating their emotions.
* Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
* Encourage and develop positive relationships with students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support pupils' educational and emotional development.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant in SEN, mainstream education, alternative provisions, or youth settings.
* Experience in sports coaching, mentoring, or working with children in youth clubs or behavioural support is highly relevant.
* A resilient, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with pupils with additional needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
* Commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist SEN setting.
